The benchmark for the graphics industry.  Still widely accepted by professionals.  Less bang for the buck by far than Corel, Adobe offers some quality advantages under certain circumstances.

Without a doubt, the best Web Design Software available. 

Powerful site management with the feel of CorelDraw for Page Layout. 
 

Ulead
A great and inexpensive GIF animator used to create or optimize every animated GIF file on this site.

Coolmaps
Add-on´s including a javascript nav bar, expanded text nav bar, a better rollover, and more.  Not “plug and play” but great tech support.

Apollon Project
Drop Down Menu, Browser Redirect, Better Rotating Picture Applet, and many more *free* Fusion Components.

Macromedia 
Flash 4 is great for quick vector web graphics.

There is a bit of a learning curve before getting professional results, but Flash in the right hands can provide very dynamic and fast loading animation.
